One of the finest festival experiences on offer – The Meredith Music Festival – has unveiled its line up for 2008, with Aunty Meredith digging up some very nice treats for the stage at the Supernatural Amphitheatre.
The First line-up features Ten East, Man Man and Holy Fuck on the Friday night. On Saturday the punters will clamour for MGMT, poet, rapper, rocker, actor Saul Williams, The Mountain Goats, The Bronx and Muscles. While Sunday stars include Grand Salvo, Black Diamond Heavies and Adam Green.
Also performing are occasional violinist with The Arcade Fire, Beirut and The Last Shadow Puppets Owen Pallet aka Final Fantacy, Tame Impala, Beaches, festival hounds Little Red, The Ruby Suns, Architecture in Helsinki, Regurgitator, The Datsuns, The Yacht Club DJs and returning for their thirteenth year Combo La Revelacion
The first round of balloted tickets are on sale today to the lucky few. Those on the list who’ve missed out now have been automatically entered into the Second Round of the Ballot and will be notified via email on Friday 29 August if they’ve been successful. After that sales open up for everyone (including all those MGMT fans that missed out on Palace tickets) on September 9.
