He dropped seven tracks on stage with 9 x out of 10 set to be his first single to drop this week (mid June) it is straight from the heart track about injustice he has seen to his people in the Kimberley, it’s a must buy when it drops.

Among other tracks he dropped on the night Raw papers and Accapella got the crowds right amongst the good vibes flowing from the stage, Rasta to finish the show was what Woods described as a track that was what would happen if Hip Hop and reggae had a baby would be, It didn’t dissapoint and Woods left the crowd wanting more.

Watching the crowd while Woods was playing and seeing the crowd right into it we asked a few punters what they thought

Tony from Culburra Beach said “Wow, this guys flow is next level, i’d be happy to have paid for that as the show tonight, Dallas was that good”

The crowd is filling up as Dj Mixxa warms up the crowd with some epic tunes, some old school Hip hop and RnB get the crowd going.

Kian who features on Baker boy’s Cloud9 starts the show with childism, the crowd gets into it straight away as he gets them to move closer to the stage and asks who is ready for a good night to big cheers from the crowd, telephoned is second, a very smooth flowing rhyme over a good beat, He may be a bit softly spoken but Kian is a crowd pleaser and a star of the future and can clearly hold his own on the stage.

Dallas woods hits the stage and jumps straight into his first track No vacancy, the crowd are instantly into Dallas as his stage presence is something else, his flow is flawless and the beats are big.
Dallas brings energy and charisma to the stage with some amazing rhymes, Acapella is a crowd fav as the crowd moves in closer and Woods gets the floor jumping.
Dallas then adds a fresh freestyle verse in and wows the crowd with his lyrical skills, Raw papers is set to a heavy bass beat, once again Dallas just flows like he’s been on the stage for years and years, Woods then asks the crowd if they want to hear his new single 9 x outta 10 which he is about to drop? The crowd goes crazy, He says this song is about some injustice he has seen in his hometown in the East Kimberley, This track is not to be missed, it’s straight from the heart and won’t disappoint!!

Baker boy takes to the stage at 10.20 pm to massive cheers from the Wollongong Crowd, Dj Mixxa and Drummer Benny Clarke get the scene set with Baker Boy Doing an EPIC freestyle dance to start the show followed by an acknowledgement of country,
He is then Joined on stage by his crew Kian and Dallas Woods to perform their track black magic and then busts out his remix of treaty, which is something to be seen, this remix needs to be played all around our country.

Baker Boy has this place absoloutley jumping already as he says this is my boy Kian, he has been down with me since day one and we have a song for you, They jump Straight into cloud 9 with the energy level of the room going insane. Baker boy loves to move and he gets into a robot dance with his two dancers who are next level, the boys then Jump into a new track sweat limits which is sure to be a hit followed by run around town which is another great new tune which the crowd are right into.

As Baker Boy chats to the crowd he says I’d like to do a dance for you which I performed at the G20 summit in 2014, he dedicates the dance to Dr M Yunipingu and Dr G Yunipingu, This dance is amazing and you can see the emotion in Baker Boys face as he is performing.

He then asks the crowd who wants to hear the new single??? The noise level is hectic as Dj Mixxa and Benny bang into Mr La Di Da Di, The crowd is jumping and throwing their hands in the air showing so much love and respect for Baker Boys latest release, as the track finishes you can’t help but smile at baker Boys big cheeky grin as he says “oh wow thanks” as Dj Mixxa starts the intro for Marryuna the crowd goes next level crazy as do the Guys on the stage as the energy and electricity from the stage flows through to the punters in the crowd sweating it out and just throwing the love back to the stage, Marryuna doesn’t disappoint live on stage and leaves the crowd wanting more, although their is no more tunes for the night Baker boy shows the love to his fans by staying at the merch stand for a good hour signing autographs and taking photos which you could see the crowd were stoked with.

This show was amazing and felt like a big family was on stage, the band got the crowd going from start to finish and I can’t recommend seeing the live show enough. 11/10 rating for the show

Secession are up second and start out heavy as we expect from one of Australia’s best metal outfits of the past 20 years, the Wollongong lads are tearing the factory theatre apart so quickly, this is a seasoned band, so tight together on stage. There 50 minute set seems to end too soon.. the crowd clearly want more, Chris gives a big shout out to his band and the crowd as it wrapped up, Segression are true crowd pleaders and ear bleeders!!! It clearly Shows that rocking out for 20 plus years can still gain you new fans, (Me I’ve been a fan for years ), and we all would have liked to see one or two more…

Wow, Earth caller hit the stage with so much energy, with there singer spitting quick rhymes and heavy vocals at the same time it seems, a very tight 4 piece back him up with some bullshit heavy bass and drums combined with two guitars that Almost sound like there is 4 guitarists on stage at times,

soon the light go dark and a weird blue light shines as the lads appear on stage.
Andy (on Keys) Kicks in the intro to fightback and it’s in!! Ba ba BOOM!! As DW, Drew and Ritchie rip into the fightback and Zeke spits you gotta fight back take control.. the song gets the crowd going and the lads don’t stop as they flow straight into bullet, the crowd is going nuts at this stage.. bullet makes the crowd sway and get loose and sing as it stops Zeke thanks the crowd for the love.. as they bust into hands up high the crowd sing along to the chorus with Drew and DW.
The ridiculously big Back to base follows and the crowd goes nuts, BTB is clearly a crowd fave from the GOTSD, it’s infectious rhymes and big chorus are big with the fans.

Running away sees Zeke jump into the crowd and sing from atop a bar table, the crowd swell around him and sing along, as the lads busy out the big crowd favourite Crank the system, which is received To a thunderous roar, the Crowd feed off the energy that heist lads throw out, Drew is beaming with smiles but may be a painful smile as he has a busted ankle!!

Zeke speaks to the crowd after this and says I’ve been listening to this band for ever, I’ve been singing this track since ’98’, I knew one day I could sing with this band, as an oldie but a bloody goody Have your way busts out. Zeke and the boys absolutely smash this track, it’s flawless and the sound is amazing as the song nears the end zeke

Time for a breather and chat before they break into the Deepend and the massive Sweat/Swing, two amazing tracks to see back to back live as Zeke once again jumps into the crowd and stands aloft the bar table, it’s good to see as the band looks out and are beaming with smiles as the show is going off and the fans are digging the new sound/songs and lineup.

Holy shit this gets the crowd pumped as, this will turn out to be the only song from IRCR, and the crowd respond with a banging little mosh around Zeke on the table as the lads on stage thrash this one out…

As the crowd settles after thing track Benny and Drew sit on the drum riser for a well earned rest, as Zeke grabs an acoustic guitar and starts strumming and busts into the amazing ballad This truth, it’s a crowd sing along, suck a good track and as it builds the lads join in and boom, the ballad goes a bit heavy and then drops

As they smash it out, zeke makes this track his own. The crowd don’t no what is going on as they have been going nuts for 60 minutes plus already, Pulse just sends them even crazier in the pit.
Pulse is pulsating in the crowd and on stage… sad as but it has to come to and end, the band give big thanx to the crowd, DW does the hand sharks, Zeke is straight in the Merch stand. Benny goes awol for a smoke, Drew is found at the little creatures lounge!! Ha ha

All in all this was a massive show and a big welcome back from a good sydney crowd, such a good variety of songs from all albums, the lads can only fit so many tracks in 70 minutes. with 3 amzing support acts aslo in Horrorwood Mannequins, Segression and Earth Caller.

Looking at DW and Drew during the set they were absolutely beaming with smiles as they are re introducing there baby Almst, throw in the kid at the back who beats the bloody shit outta his pearl kit and the most energetic and best front man in Aus since Michael
Hutchence in Ezekiel ox, You have Superheist, a force to be reckoned with, an arsenal of bullshit heavy tracks and a few slower ballads to soothe the ears.

A caustic and searing video clip for the single will follow in the weeks to come. The band have been hunkered down recording their first full-length record, which will see it’s release in early 2017. A recent jaunt up to Brisbane to showcase at Big Sound saw them re-double their efforts to finish the tracks for the album. This single is the first sample of the album, which explores the themes of humans’ destruction of the world’s natural resources

‘Defiling Paradise’ was recorded with Systematic Productions’ Ermin Hamidovic, along with the rest of the forthcoming album.

Vocalist Ben Roberts was forthright about the meaning behind the new single ‘Defiling Paradise’ and the imagery behind the name and themes of the brutal track. “Defiling Paradise is about the transition of human thought from being part of nature to being above it. It’s about how once we began to develop into civilized societies, we inherently lost touch with how much we actually rely on the natural environment for our existence.”

‘Defiling Paradise’ is not only the first taste of new music from the band, but also the opening track to the album – in which these ideas are further explored throughout the record.

Hollow World has shared the stage with Plini, At The Gates, Ne Obliviscaris, Psycroptic,King Parrot, Be’lakor, Boris the Blade, Make Them Suffer, Bleeding Through,Frankenbok and ROME.

Hollow World have been prolific in their releasing of music over their career, releasing their 5-track debut EP “Beneath the Frozen Sky” in November 2013, 2014 saw the release of single Silence and in 2015, EP “The Wrath Kept Within”, which featured single and video “Valley Of The Ghelgath”, was released.

To record with Jay Baumgardner (Linkin Park, Papa Roach John Fogerty), at NRG studios, over two weeks there and we were gifted with this album.

1- Wolves in your headspace,
Wow
What an opening track, call me nostalgic or old but hearing DW guitar fading in and out then Drew’s crazy bass come in, had me pumped before we hear Benny’s infectious drums kick in and then the lyrical genius of Ezekiel ox joins, and gives us wolves.
WOLVES is a great way for the heist to come back, it’s slow in parts but has that energetic heaviness that we know and respect of the older heist records.

2-Back to base
DW”s Haunting keys start this tune, followed by a big drop of heavy guitars and big drums again, Zeke’s vocals Kick in and are really quick, but so honest, Ox is a real story teller, this track goes up and down with some amazing guitar and drums that build and slow and then build again with Zekes vocals going above and beyond, so many changes in guitar in this track, Made for a live spectacular this one.

3- Fearing Nothing-Lucky enough to have had a few weeks to listen to this, I think this song set the album up as to showcase what we knew Zeke’s vocals would bring to the band, it starts out slow, almost a bit of spoken word and then that ridiculously wicked harmony kicks in as the tempo builds, it sounds as if Ezekiel ox is talking to someone in this track, this track takes us on a Lil Heist journey as we hear ox say ‘ it’s a shame you’re outta backs to scratch, but you keep attacking me… and you want more’ you want more’ fear of nothing
Ezekiel ox has so much to say on this album, he brings so much to the band with his amazing ability on the mic.

4- Running away
Heavy guitar intro and Zeke rapping straight up set this track up before the chorus kicks in “running away, so why are you running away”
Drew and benny seem to be so in sync like they have been playing in the same band for ever!
This track builds to big chorus versus and ends up with some amazing guitar work in the last 30 seconds… (I’m keen to see this track live to see DW and Keeagh shredding)

5- Flick the switch
Once u flick the switch u can’t turn this off!!!! BOOM…
Ox’s vocals are huge as are the guitar in the intro of this track… but wait for Drew and Benny to kick in together and the track just get better. Benny sounds like he has four feet in parts, it sounds like the bass drum is about to explode… this track will be a live show special to see Drew and Benny combining for some wicked sounds
And then as you think the song finishes it builds again with the band doing backing vocals.

6-The Deepend
A bit of a sad intro to this one, but wait for about 20seconds and boom!!! Bass rips in and Zeke starts with very quick lyrics, A few swear words too which is always good, a very infectious chorus in the deepend as ox says” can we deepend on you”. Yes we will
Deepend on you” will be a crowd favourite at live shows with heavy guitars and drums and lyrics that can be sung along too and some that you will just want to bang your head along too.

7- This truth
Wow… Acoustic change!!!
Some will say wtf?? I say Thanx lads
This might be the slower song and some even may call it a slow/heavy ballad (if that’s such a thing), it is the shit… Ezekiel Ox voice is hectic good (man crushing- ha ha) and the slower drums and guitars combined with that piano!!
I think this track showcases why D.W chased Zeke to be in the band. Zekes voice can go from a subtle spoken Word voice to a big rahhhh and then drop back to harmonies and quickly go into a rap!!!!! And there’s a little Jimmy Barnes/LLeyton Hewitt “Cmon” in there
This track shows that the heist lads aren’t just about cranking the amps to 20/10 all the time.

8-Hang your head
DW and Drew at their best in this intro….
Super tight and heavy with Zekes super quick flow…
The track slows halfway through and builds as benny takes no prisoners on that poor drum kit again,
Yeah I said it, Dnt forget it!!!

9- Lets get out of here
Acoustic Little intro with piano and slow words from Zeke leads us into a big boom of guitar and stupidly heavy drums from Benny again,
The rhythm that Benny Clarke brings to this song complements Drew on bass and Zeke spitting out it’s been a whole lot of fun, But now it’s time to go, let’s get out of here. Was this the last track recorded in L.A.

10— Sweat/swing
The mosh pit song….
Get ready to sweat Fukkrs!!!!! Need we say more??
Ok I will, sweat/swing sweat/swing,
This track is that big at the start its ridiculous, guitar that fades from left to right with Zeke whispering Sweat/Swing and then ba ba boom from Benny !!! Ox launches into some vicious rhymes that lead into his amazing chorus flow, this track is huge but so soft in parts, Ox’s voice complements the heavy guitar and drums with piano again.

I can’t write too much about this track besides get ready to SWEAT!!!!!!

All in all I think this new Superheist album is a big 10/10, It gives so much and shows how hard the band has worked to achieve this album that we have finally got after 13 long years man.
