Hoods Under the Hood

Regarded Australia-wide as a key ingredient for a burning party, maverick hip hop act Hilltop Hoods continue to set the stage alight. To coincide with the release of their long awaited new album The Hard Road, Hilltop Hoods – in conjunction with Triple J – are pleased to announce a National Launch Tour, which heads to Perth on Saturday, April 22.

Under a big top circus tent, Hilltop Hoods will bring their infamous beats to an all-ages audience at the Supreme Court Gardens, joined by Downsyde and Tzu who both had knockout performances at this year’s Southbound Festival, fellow Adelaide acts Funkoars and Cross Bred Mongrels, Sydney’s Hermitude plus DJ Snair.

Hilltop Hoods shot to fame in 2003 with the release of their acclaimed third album The Calling, with the catchy head nodder Nosebleed Section picked up by Triple J, community stations, Nova and Austereo. The release of their recent single, Clown Prince, saw Hilltop Hoods debut at number 35 on the ARIA Singles Chart, with their infectious lyrics pumping the crowd at Big Day Outs across Australia.

Hilltop Hoods continually exceed expectations and break down barriers with their ongoing sales achievements, but it is on stage that the Hoods come alive. A rigorous touring schedule since the release of ‘The Calling’ has seen the trio perform countless shows and allowed their reputation as the best live Oz hip hop act to ?
