DUNE announces debt single and live shows
Melbourne singer-songwriter Dune is set to release her debut, self-produced single Shoestring via iTunes worldwide on July 6, 2012.
Shoestring is a track lashed with colour; conjuring up images of bright feathers and war paint, Dune’s driving vocals soar over textured tribal beats creating an expansive, futuristic sonic vista laced with mythology and a post-apocalyptic vision.
To celebrate the release of her debut single, Dune will be playing two very special single launches; The Workers Clubin Melbourne on Thursday 30 August and Friday 31 August and at Upstairs Beresford Hotel in Sydney.
Shoestring will be available as a free download via soundcloud and a 6 track-Shoestring sampler will be available via iTunes, featuring a remix from Australian Hip Hop heavyweight Katalyst.
Dune is the new incarnation of Jade MacRae – former collaborator of The Sleepy Jackson and Pnau, graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and featured vocalist on records by Phrase, Katalyst and Space Invadas.
