Dirty Lucy Tour

It’s been a long time between drinks for Dirty Lucy, after releasing their debut album Dark Green in 2003 and touring relentlessly to every corner of the country for two years solid. The girls came off the road to give the van a rest and retread the tyres.

In 2006 they are rising from the ashes of day jobs, vocal nodule operations and bumming around the streets of St Kilda generally finding themselves, to present you with a new mini album Music, People, Cities, Lights and Darkness.

Throughout July and August Dirty Lucy will revisit the white lines they have followed over the past few years once again, hitting the coats of NSW, QLD, VIC, TAS and SA. They will be joined on this road trip by the folk-electronica sounds of Sydney’s Matt Tonks.

Moving from the freedom of the open road to the confines and congestion of inner city Melbourne is reflected in the bands new offering. Tales of walls, restrictions, reoccurring loves and contemplations of a life that has been given time to be contemplated.

Recorded in the wilderness of Sydney’s South Coast, and produced by the girls, Jodi Moore and Nicole Brophy and drummer Syd Green, Music, People, Cities, Lights and Darkness is seven tracks of darkened roots rock.
