Bushfire Benefit @ The Corner Hotel – Sunday 1st March
Unprecedented tragedy warrants unprecedented action. On Sunday 1st of March at The Corner Hotel, a group of Melbourne’s finest music makers will join forces to help raise money for the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal.
Rocket Science, Kram from Spiderbait, The Casanovas, Dave Larkin’s new band The Gun Street Girls, The Basics, The Pictures, The Hot Little Hands and some secret special guests will be hitting the stage at The Corner to do their bit for the cause. Strutting her stuff between bands as hostess with the most ess will be Rockwiz’s leading lady, Julia Zemiro.
Throughout the night there will be a raffle for Golden Plains, Okkervil River and Of Montreal tickets and an auction for a Framus electric guitar along with other cool bits and pieces.
All profits from ticket sales will go to the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal and the lovely people from The Corner will also be donating a portion of bar takings – so if ever there was a reason to drink for a good cause, this is it.
Bands kick off at 6pm with a sausage sizzle in the late afternoon to help line the stomachs – so get in early. Tickets will be $30 on the door, $20 for CFA members or $25+bf if booked in advance.
