An Evening with Michael Franti

Coming to Australia for The Falls Festival, Michael Franti has just
announced a very special and intimate show in Lorne’s beautiful and
historic picture theatre. The evening will include a performance by
Michael Franti as well as the screening of his recent and compelling
documentary I know I’m Not Alone. Always a man with a message of peace,
hope and empowerment, his recent journey through the heart of the war
zones of Iraq, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories have
inspired Michael’s most uplifting songs to date as well as his film
which breaks through the hate to reveal the oneness of our human family.
Michael Franti will open discussions about his music, his film and his
journey.

Michael Franti will be supported by special guest Dan Sultan’s soulful
brand of roots-blues-country rock and exceptional vocals that range from
deep and velvet soulful yearnings to soaring heights reminiscent of Jeff
Buckley.

Don’t miss this special opportunity to experience Michael Franti – who
is undoubtedly one of the most important artists recording and touring
today – in such an intimate environment. It will change your world.

“Watch this film then insist that Michael Franti becomes President of
the United States” – Anthony Minghella (Academy Award Winning Director,
English Patient, Cold Mountain)

“Michael’s (Franti) a modern minstrel weaving stories of war and
occupation into his heart of peace, giving us hope, not just tears. The
film is powerful, honest and touching”. – Serj Tankian (Musican – System
Of A Down)
