Wolfmother Win A Grammy

Sydneysiders Wolfmmother have taken all before them in Australia in the past couple of years, now it seems they are beginning to conquer the rest of the world.

The Aussie rockers have taken home the Grammy award for “Best Hard Rock Performance” for the track ‘Woman’, beating out renowned acts such as Tool, Nine Inch Nails and System Of A Down.

Wolfmother accepted the award at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night. The band will be back on Aussie shores shortly to commence a national tour.

The other Aussies nominated for Grammy Awards were unsuccessful, Tommy Emmanuel and Keith Urban both falling short in their respective catergories.

The Dixie Chicks were the big winners on the night, taking out the Awards for Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Record Of The Year among others. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers won three awards, with John Mayer, Bob Dylan and Ludacris amongst the winners.
