The Wombats have withdrawn from the Bunbury leg of this year’s Groovin The Moo festival.
The UK outfit were forced to pull out of the last leg of the Aussie music event after being invited to play the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend alongside the Foo Fighters.
“It’s really unfortunate for Bunbury fans to miss out on The Wombats. Both parties tried really hard to make it work and the band is very disappointed to miss out on WA. However we are really excited to have four fantastic acts join the tour at this late stage. It is going to be an awesome day in Bunbury,” festival organiser and Cattleyard Promotions representative Stephen Halpin said.
The Holidays have also been forced to cancel their spot on the festival after being offered a spot at the Great Escape festival in the UK.
Local acts, Boy & Bear, The Panics, Pez and 360, Antonio Paul, Sons of Rico and Cisco have been added to the festival as replacements.
Refunds for tickets to Bunbury Groovin The Moo festival show will be available from Monday 4 April to Friday 8 April through Moshtix.com.au on 1300 438 849 or ticketingsupport@moshtix.com.au.
Refunds will be processed within two weeks, and will go back to the card used for the purchase.
