The Cops are hitting the road

The Cops and Expatriate will head out on a national co-headlining tour next month.

The Sydney bands will tour the country sharing headline duties.

” Expatriate are the perfect band to do a co-headlining tour with,” The Cops singer Simon Carter said.

” I can hear a lot of similarities between the two bands in that they have a firm love of melody and groove, but we both come at it from two very different angles which I think will make for a sonically and visually exciting tour.”

Commenting on the joint tour, Expatriate’s Ben King said: “This will be bigger and brighter than anything we’ve done separately. Big nights out full of song and dance at our favourite venues.”

The bands will kick off their tour on September 28 in Brisbane before touring in and around Newcastle, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.

Both The Cops (Drop It In Their Laps) and Expatriate (In The Midst Of This) released their debut albums this year.
