Paul Dempsey will begin work on a new Something For Kate record later this year.
News of a fresh album from the Melbourne band ends months of speculation they had called it quits.
Something For Kate has been on hiatus since Dempsey began work on his debut solo record, Everything Is True.
The singer released his album in August last year. Last week, the album reached gold record status. The gold record comes as Dempsey plans to relocate to Europe and the US for the remainder of 2010. The singer will spend the rest of the year touring the album before beginning writing of a new Something For Kate record.
