Empire of the Sun have Little(no)more
Nick Littlemore has confirmed he will not be touring with Empire Of The Sun, choosing instead to finish work on Pnau’s new record.
Littlemore, one half of Aussie outfit Empire Of The Sun with Luke Steele (Sleepy Jackson), has rejoined his first band Pnau and band member Peter Mayes in the US.
The duo, who are now based in the UK, expect to release their as yet titled new album later this year, a statement from the band’s publicists said.
“We can reveal that this new album will be released this year and that Pnau will be returning to Australia in late 2009 presenting their jaw dropping live spectacle of a show to coincide with the album release. Stay tuned for show news coming your way soon,” the statement said.
Littlemore joined Steele to form their side project Empire Of The Sun last year.
They have since released the band’s debut album Walking On A Dream.
Empire Of The Sun will next perform as part of the Parklife festival in September.
