Angus Stone leaves sister to go solo
Angus and Julia Stone have decided to have a break from their duo so Angus can work on a solo side project.
Angus’s new side project is called Lady of The Sunshine.
Lady of The Sunshine new debut solo album named Smoking Gun will be released this April 09.
The first single lifted off the new album will be called White Rose Parade.
Smoking Gun will be released through Stone’s own label Desert Harvest Records and major EMI.
Little is known about Stone’s new project, except that sister Julia is not listed as appearing in the band, though this is not an indication of a split between the siblings.
According to the new band’s myspace page, Angus Stone will perform guitar and vocals on the album, with Govinda Doyle on bass and drums.
