A Brand Spankin’ New Festival.
Victoria has a brand new festival! The Point Napean Festival will be held over the 2007 Easter weekend of April 7 and 8. The inaugural festival will be held at the Point Nepean Quarantine Station, and is being closely modelled on the enormously popular East Coast Blues And Roots Festival in Byron Bay.
The first announcement of acts includes Ben Harper, Taj Mahal, Missy Higgins, The Waifs, Amos Lee, Ben Kweller, Paul Greene, Dallas Frasca, and The Refugee All Stars Of Sierra Leone.
There will be two stages hosting the acts across two days, as well as local art, crafts, produce and history exhibits. Tickets are limited to 7500 people per night. They are on sale now through Ticketek.
