The Black Keys join Narana Festival line up

Akron USA’s favorite sons The Black Keys will join Xavier Rudd and Somali hip hop sensation K’naan, at a special gathering of global talents on April 17th 2006. NARANA FESTIVAL celebrates the sharing of Aboriginal culture, good music and good vibes, whilst working towards a future built upon Respecting Spirit.

The Black Keys will bring their rollicking blues rock, to share the stage with dynamic Aboriginal hip hop collective Local Knowledge, blues and roots maestro Ash Grunwald, Rob Sawyer, Bomba and West Aussie touring machine Carus and his True Believers will be amongst the inspirational performers coming together to honor the traditional heritage of this country.

Aboriginal dance troupes will gather from around the country sharing their traditional and contemporary stories, ensuring this ‘cooroberree’ will be an exciting experience. Patrons will be participating in a truly enriching day whilst knowing that their contributions will be assisting with the establishment of a much needed Aboriginal education program for regional Victoria.

In conjunction with Aboriginal education centre Narana Creations, Xavier Rudd and fellow musicians, aim to draw attention to the huge gap in Aboriginal cultural education in Australian schools through privately funding a program called, Respect For Spirit.
