Splendour In The Grass SOLD OUT
Splendour In The Grass organisers can confirm that both event and camping tickets to the 2006 event, to be held Sat July 22nd and Sun July 23rd at Belongil Fields in Byron Bay have now completely sold out.
After much testing and many months of preparation of our new ticketing system, yesterday morning we experienced demand for tickets that was well beyond our greatest expectations. To put this into perspective, our technical team has informed us that yesterday morning our website received more than 2,800,000 hits for a 17,500 capacity event. After a slow start, we’re pleased to say that the event has sold out in just under two days, which is a good result considering the more complicated ticketing process. Given our previous scalping issues and the fact that this is the first time such a system has been implemented for a music festival in Australia, we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their patience and support during the sales process.
A reminder to all ticket holders that photo identification, which corresponds with the name printed on each individual ticket, must be presented upon arrival at Splendour In The Grass for entry to the event.
