Queenscliff Music Festival are serving it up hot in 2014, announcing five international acts for this year’s festival after a distinctly Australian line up over the past few years. Joining the growing list of 2014 performers will be a sample of North America’s most exciting talent:
- The act Huffington Post compared to Bob Marley and proclaimed a musical prophet Nahko and Medicine for the People who have just recorded with SOJA and Michael Franti and will be bringing party vibes to the QMF stage
- New Orleans outfit who Rolling Stone, SPIN and NPR have all shortlisted as having one of the best albums so far in 2014 Hurray for the Riff Raff headed by singer-songwriter Alynda Lee Segarra,
- Soulful country blues from Alabama’s Kristy Lee who has been selling out venues since landing her first album deal at age 18
- Juno award-winners, time travelling Toronto trio and Canadian institutionElliott BROOD who have toured with acts to the calibre of Wilco and amp up their signature ‘death country’ sound with their upcoming 2014 album, and
- The defining tenor vocals that can make time stand stand still from singer/songwriter Hayward Williams who will be joined by South Australian duo The Yearlings.

- Melbourne genre-benders whose first album sparked a domino of enthusiastic reviews (and they are about to drop their next album!) The Delta Riggs
- Dream trio made up of three familiar names synonymous with great songwriting and powerful live performances Dyson Stringer Cloher
- 2013 Grammy nominees Hiatus Kaiyote with their experimental soul grooves
- Award winning folk sensations who have toured with the likes of Neil Young and are on the brink of their highly anticipated Sophomore album Husky
- World conquering indie darlings The Jezabels
- Queen of Australian country music Kasey Chambers

- Troubadour Steve Smyth who was born into a nomadic gospel church-building family, has been drawing parallels to vocal icons from Jeff Buckley to Tom Waits, and will hit the QMF stage fresh from a tour of Spain

- Adelaide’s rising star rapper who has already been pegged in Triple J’s Next Crop list and cracked the ARIA singles chart Tkay Maidza

QMF 2014 is getting more delicious all the time, and with another announcement coming in just a couple of weeks, you don’t have long to wait to see who else will be part of the soundtrack in Queenscliff this November.
