Falls Festival 3rd lineup (Lorne)
We’ve been hiding a few gems up our sleeves, and before said sleeves split from the weight of an ever-growing collection of artists, we thought we’d expound these little treasures to you…. Joining the exciting line-up are: UK groove-dub duo MATTAFIX (UK); chop maestro, and alternative hip-hop poet and emcee, LA’s BUSDRIVER (US); catchy-crooners THE PANICS; the eclectic-escapades of THE COPS; insanely infectious SPECIAL PATROL; happy-go-lucky SOFT TIGERS; powerhouse performers DUKES OF WINDSOR; innovative hip-hop priestess MACROMANTICS; the band that insist ‘we don’t walk’, but by gosh they can perform, THE PAPER SCISSORS; 80’s disco-edged, nostalgic-merry-makers DANCE WITH VOICES; rollicking merrymakers GOONS OF DOOM; and alt-country crooner WHITLEY. Promised to ramble superbly from dusk ’till dawn, are dance-floor favourites La Fiesta Sound System, Favela Rock DJ’s, Tokyo Apartment Party DJ’s, Thief Featuring DJ Gsan Mugen with Paris Wells; Jennifer Tutty Katie Drover, Hoops, Funktrust DJ’s and Uber Lingua DJ’s who will all get your hips-a-shakin’ and your hearts-a-racin’.
Speaking of racing, there’s no equine flu in this crew’s stable, only a slight fever as a certain pony club are set to take Lorne’s ‘Saturday Night Fever’ off the thermometer charts like a message from mercury as indie-electro five piece NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB (UK) join the ranks in Lorne on the 29th of December; adding some more evening flavour to the line up of MAGIC DIRT, JACKSON JACKSON SARAH BLASKO, down dirty country-bluesmen DOWNHILLS HOME, and alternate-melodic-rockers CHILDREN COLLIDE.
Oh, and by the way, Neville Staple’s Specials will also be bringing along his friend Ranking Roger from The Beat – looks like The Falls Music Arts Festival is
playing host to a Neville Staple/Ranking Roger – ‘The Special Beat’ show!
