It’s official, next week’s BIG SOUND Music Summit and Showcase in Brisbane will be the biggest event of its type ever held in Queensland with the conference component of the event now officially SOLD OUT.

Music fans can still get in on the action by snapping up a pass to the BIG SOUND Live showcase gigs, with more than 60 artists performing across two-nights, featuring the best new music you’ll hear anywhere.

BIG SOUND Executive Programmer Stephen Green says this year’s conference had increased its capacity by more than 30 per cent on previous years.

“To sell out conference registrations well in advance just shows how much this event has grown over the past eight years,” Green says. ” It really has become a not-to-miss event on the annual music industry calender.”

Green says those still eager to rub shoulders with the world’s music industry can still grab passes to BIG SOUND Live.

“To able to see around 60 amazing acts for less than $50, is easily the best value for money Festival ticket you’ll buy all year, not to mention who you might be standing next to!” he says.

Among those hitting the stage will be Little Red (VIC), Bluejuice (NSW), Bob Evans (WA), Bertie Blackman (NSW), Old Man River (NSW), The Middle East (QLD), Philadelphia Grand Jury (NSW), Washington (QLD), The Devoted Few (NSW), Charles Jenkins (VIC), Cloud Control (NSW), The Boat People (QLD) and The Basics (VIC).

BIG SOUND Live will also feature sets from critically acclaimed US artists Robert Schneider (The Apples in Stereo) and Sydney band Parades – winners of the national BIG SOUND triple j Unearthed competition.

Held across six venues each night, BIG SOUND Live will also showcase one of the country’s premier live entertainment precincts, Fortitude Valley.
