Carus & the True Believers – THE BREAKDOWN EP LAUNCH TOUR

This week sees West Australian singer-songwriter CARUS launch his sixth record – The Breakdown EP, with his now firm band The True Believers.
Following in the same vein as his last two varied but well received releases; “Acoustic at the Norfolk” & “Long Nights Are Gone”, this 5 track
EP looks set to follow on from the success of the single “Ain’t No Crime”, which held the coveted number one spot on triple J’s NET 50 for a mammoth 4 weeks.

Breakdown was recorded at Couch Studios with West Oz whiz Shaun O’Callaghan, whose credits include Little Birdy, The Waifs & ironically, The
John Butler Trio’s huge breakthrough “3” on which True Believers drummer Jason McGann played his way to an ARIA.
Tipped as “Australia’s next Paul Kelly”, Carus and his band play a mixture of rock, reggae, country & folk and are building a huge following not only in Australia, but throughout the UK and Europe as well. Testimony to this is the 5th European tour being locked in for May/June this year.

Supporting Carus & the True Believers on the Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney run of dates will be much hyped, sure to be huge newcomers The Vasco Era (www.thevascoera.com). Queensland & Northern NSW won’t miss out either.

Carus and band will share the stage with the amazing Mick Hart as well as Loren (in his last show before he heads to New Zealand) on 15th Feb and the awesome Hirst & Green on 16th Feb. Don’t miss your chance to check out some young, new and happening Australian music.
