A day on the green, Centennial vineyards Bowral NSW

Its 4.25 pm at the beautiful Centennial vineyards in Bowral NSW and Lior has just taken the stage, he wastes no time in getting into his set starting with “Building ships” followed by the title track of his album “Autumn flow” which he really gets into and rocks it out at the end of the song. Into his fourth song “Grey Ocean” Lior tell’s the crowd how he wrote this song about a friend who was a bit down at the time he wrote the album. After “This old love” he plays “Bedoiun song” a guy down the front of the crowd keeps yelling out for so he obliges and plays it.
Lior than announces that the next two songs are of his new live Cd “Doorways in my mind”, the tracks are called “Corner of an endless road” followed by “Diego” and “The village girl”: a small cheer goes up from the people who have the new Cd and a bigger cheer after he plays the new songs which the crowd really got into for new material.
To finish up the set he plays the second single from the album Daniel with the strong crowd of 4000 showing there appreciation by singing along and clapping and cheering at the end of the show.
Being my first Lior show I was amazed at how much he got the crowd going and singing along with him, not that I doubted his ability after hearing his Cd’s “Autumn flow” and the new live Cd “Doorways of my mind” several times over.
After his show he heads up to the merchandise tent to sign autograph’s for about an hour, on meeting him he was an absolute champion bloke he took the time to sign and have photo’s with punter’s no matter how old they were.
I would highly recommend getting out to there and seeing Lior at a gig if you have the chance, now it’s off to watch Missy Higgins and a have a few quiet beers and relax in this peaceful concert venue.
